Workshop Rope: a Way to Inspire Motion (Dance)
(Presenter: Yoroi Nicolas & Joan von Brook, Workshop level: L1-3)
The most basic techniques of Japanese rope are associated with the idea of the mental and physical management of the body in traditional Japanese arts. They open up infinite possibilities for putting bodies into motion.
This workshop is a research space for bodies in motion, one body motion moving another body motion.
Establishing physical connections is a building process for a specific language. Like a dance, it can sometimes be erotic, otherwise sensual, or even raw. It leads novices to new ways of reading their own bodies and other bodies, allowing sensations and emotions to deepen.
