Mino & Louis – Announcing presenters
Mino is a professional circus artist, dancer, and performer for more than a decade. Soon after discovering ropes, he felt the desire to combine the aesthetics and techniques of shibari with circus scenes and theater.
Louis is explorer of body conscious and limit, his path is surrounded by multiple experience and lot of bicycle.
Together they do ropes since 2 years for a chaotic research and fun dramaturgy.
How to play with a mistake
(Workshop level: L1-3)
In this workshop we will not speak about technique, but we will have lot of dramaturgy and fun. What we can create when ropes goes in wrong directions, how to make your mistake a force for play with your partner we will show lot of small technics for all levels.
Go out of your brain
(Workshop level: L1-3)
Thinking about technique is sometimes too much for your brain. Instead of being in your body and connecting. Anticipation of technique could be frustrating. So in this workshop we will try to shut down your technical brain and connect back to your partner with repetition in technique to create a random pattern and play with rhythm.
Dance together
(Workshop level: L1-3)
Tying standing can be a fun power exchange game. we pick some contemporary dance technique to create a dialogue between two rope peoples. The idea is to go out a bit of in force or proposition from rigger and to follow on model’s side. we will speak about balance, about direction, frustration and magic of movement.
How to play with difference size between partners (L3)
(Workshop level: L1-3)
Mino is smaller than Louis. We can have fun with this particularity. Even more to climb on your partner. We will explore how to manage suspension with heavier body than yours and others techniques for small people.
