Workshop Strengthening and locking shoulders
Shoulder problems in Takate Kote are quite frequent. They occur mostly in suspensions, but you can encounter them even in floor ties. We will start with brief look at the anatomy of shoulders and how they work. Then, we’ll focus on simple excercises to strengthen our shoulders and prepare them for tying to prevent problems. You will learn how to lock shoulders properly and more importantly how to test if they are still locked in later stages of tying. Finally, we’ll explore nice ways to get them back after untying.
