Pilar Aldea

Filmmaker by profession. I started to do short films in 1998 in Brusel with my first independent film production house; “Consulta Films”. Actually, I have a small production house of short films with a collaborative cinema project in Formentera island.

I started tying in 2011 and I love passionately play ropes since then. I have taken lessons, among others, with Osada Steve, Alberto Noshibari, Dasniya Sommer, Haruki Yukimura, Yukinaga Max, Shadow, Akira Naka, Nawashi Murakawa, Bergborg and Sansblague, Felix Ruckert…

Between 2012 and 2015 together with Ana Gutiérrez, we developed the project “Cuerdas Poéticas” with performances and workshops in Rope Festivals and Short Films Festival like in Barcelona, Madrid, Soria, Bilbao, Strasbourg, Moscow, Berlin…

I am currently developing “Some Ropes” a new scenic project and exchange workshops in which Nehra Stella, Lila Távata, floZif, Rija Mae, among others are assiduous collaborators.

I usually participate in Eurix, project with which I feel very identified, giving workshops and doing performances.
