Tickets for Prague Shibari Festivals in 2027
We are excited to announce the dates for the Prague Shibari Festival 2027. The Spring Edition will take place from Friday to Sunday, 28–30 May 2027, with a smaller pre-party on Thursday, 27 May. The Autumn Edition will be held on 10–12 September 2027.
The festival will be hosted at our spacious new venue introduced in 2025. The space includes three large workshop rooms, allowing us to offer a diverse lineup of classes and evening bondage jams.
Each day, three parallel workshops will run in English, covering levels from beginner/intermediate to advanced. The venue is equipped with suspension points (bamboos) to support advanced classes. There will also be a rope jam every evening.
Tickets are available via the Tickets Spring 2027 and Tickets Autumn 2027 pages through lottery till Monday 14 September 2026.
Tickets lottery
In recent years, our festivals have been selling out very quickly, which made the process stressful for everyone. Starting in 2027, we are replacing the ticket rush with a registration period and a lottery.
There’s a separate registration for each festival, but one single draw for both. You may register for one festival or for both — registering for both doesn’t reduce your chance at either.
Registration is not first-come, first-served
The forms are open for two weeks (28 August – 14 September 2026). It makes no difference whether you send yours in the first minute or on the last day. When registration closes, we will conduct the draw.
Direct places
Two groups don’t go through the lottery:
- Subspace studio members with an active membership as of 27 August 2026 (up to 2 tickets per membership). Members of 12 months or longer also receive the member discount.
- Presenters of previous Prague Shibari Festivals.
In both cases you have to register yourself + your partner— nobody can claim a direct place on someone else’s behalf.
There are usually very few of these registrations, so the majority of places will go into the draw.
The two pools
The remaining places are split in half:
- Returning pool — anyone who has attended a Prague Shibari Festival before
- Open pool — everyone, newcomers included.
If you’re a returning participant and you’re not drawn in the first pool, you move automatically into the second. You don’t need to do anything, and you can’t lose by it. In practice this gives a returning participant roughly twice the chance of a first-timer. Previous attendance is verified by email address.
Everyone gets to one festival first
Because both festivals are drawn together, we can make sure the places are spread around: a second festival is only allocated once everyone else has had their chance at a first one. Nobody attends both while others attend neither.
Registering together
You can register alone or as a group. One person registers for the whole group and states how many of you there are — we don’t need the other names.
Group size doesn’t change your odds: your chance is the same whether you register alone or with three friends. Groups are drawnon an all-or-nothing basis. If your group is drawn but there aren’t enough places left, we will not split you up.
The rules that keep it fair
- Register once, and only once. Multiple registrations under different names or e-mails are the one thing this system can’t absorb. If discovered, all associated registrations will be canceled.
- Pay for what you register for. If you’re drawn, you get a payment instructions with a deadline. Registrations left unpaid are the usual footprint of someone who entered several times to improve their odds — so unpaid places count against you in next year’s draw. Only register for what you actually intend to attend.
- Tickets are transferable (with the exception of Subspace member tickets). If you can’t come, you can pass your place on — just let us know who’s coming instead, so we have the right name and e-mail on the list.
