Prague Shibari Festival and COVID-19

Czech republic was for a very long time very sucessful in fighting COVID-19. Number of coronavirus cases was very low. Czech health care authorities are testing and deep tracking contacts of people with COVID-19 quite thoroughly. There was very little community spreading. Outbreaks were more local. Most people (up to 80 %) with COVID-19 have little to no symptoms. Hospitalisation rate is still very low.

However the number of cases has been growing quite fast in the last week. Despite new measures against coronavirus Czech republic will most likely experience few weeks of exponential growth of coronavirus cases and the numbers will be probably similar to the current situation in France (per capita). As we are preparing this text, Germany and Belgium added Prague on the list of countries presenting an increased risk of infection with COVID-19.

For Germany it means that COVID-19 test is mandatory upon return (probably for free). This might vary in different German federal states (Land). For Belgium it means that COVID-19 test and quarantine is mandatory upon return. It is quite likely that other countries will react in a similar manner. If not now then next week.

We still belive we can make the festival safe for the participants. Take measures to prevent the spread of coronavirus such as face masks except when tying, appropriate distances, lower capacity of workshops, disinfection, airing…

However if you are unable to attend because of health concerns, difficulties with quarantine or other measures required by your local health authority, we will fully refund your ticket or we can transfer your ticket to the next Prague Shibari Festival that we are planning for 12-14.3.2021.

We would like to ask you for your opinion. Would you still like to come even if your country can add Prague on the list of risk areas? Would you like to cancel and get full refund or transfer your ticket to the next Prague Shibari Festival (12-14.3.2021)? Please let us know.
